GC Rieber is a private company that operates within the fields of marine oils, pelts, salt including for agriculture and nutrients. The company is based in Bergen, Norway. Operations are performed by the subsidiaries GC Rieber Skinn AS, GC Rieber Salt AS, Carino Company Limited, GC Rieber Eiendom AS and GC Rieber Oils AS. It also holds a stake in the former subsidiary and now publicly traded company GC Rieber Shipping.

Rieber also have subsidiaries in Canada (Carino Ltd.), Russia, China, Sweden and Denmark.

The company's CEO, Paul-Christian Rieber, is also a former president of the main representative body for Norwegian employers, the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise. He stepped down following a controversy involving GC Rieber.

The company was founded in 1879 by Gottlieb Christian Rieber. Gottlieb's brother, Fritz Carl Rieber, run another company at the time, Rieber & Søn, which their father, Paul Gottlieb Rieber, had founded in 1839.[1] Per January 13, 2003, GC Rieber owned 0.75 percent of Rieber & Søn’s shares.[2]
